Competition Time
With Nathan Sharpe retiring from Rugby at the end of the Super Rugby season and bringing up his 150 super cap the Force will be down to 6 members of the inaugural Squad of 35 players; Richard Brown, Cameron Shepherd, Pek Cowan, David Pocock and myself are the legacy of the squad hand picked by John Mitchell. Since the first season in 2006, 90 players have earned a Super cap for the Force. The players and the number of caps they have earned for the club are listed below.
With the start of team selections for another year it is interesting to think about who would make the best 22 from all the players who have pulled on the Force jersey.
My challenge to you, is to pick your best 22 from all those who have played for the Force. The person who picks the 22 closest to my own will win a Force & Wallaby Kit Pack. Pick the squad on when they were playing at their best – for us or for other teams. Drinking skills, fashion sense, sense of humour or good bloke factor won’t be taken into account as this is insider information that you don’t have access to. I will also not name myself in the team, as I am acting as selector and coach.
